Opportunity for Charlotte Region Small Businesses
The Alliance's small business and investor relations teams are meeting on a monthly basis with the Clark/D.A. Everett team, the joint venture awarded the project, to collaborate, learn and support. Here's the update:
- The second bid package for the $800M Bank of America stadium renovation project is expected to be released this week (week of June 15), with approximately 5 weeks to bid.
- This package is significantly larger and broader than the first one, with many opportunities for smaller companies to pursue subcontracting work. There are also opportunities for vendors and suppliers.
- A project website has launched at clark-daeverett.com. The site includes a link to the pre-qualification process and clear steps for businesses to follow, the bid portal, and the current list of prime bidders.
- If small businesses are not selected for project work, those in the system will still be connected with contractors, with the intent that future subcontracting or project work could result.
- Some of the overall areas of work include demolition, concrete, masonry, metals, millwork, doors/frames/hardware, drywall & carpentry, tile, flooring, painting, countertops, plumbing, fire protection, mechanical and electrical. Sound like any of the businesses in your organization?
