Dear Downtown Statesville Business Community, We are excited to announce that American Renaissance School (ARS) will reopen for the new school year on Wednesday, August 12th. As we prepare for this transition, we want to keep you informed about our efforts to manage traffic during morning arrival (7:30-8:00 AM) and dismissal (2:45-3:30 PM). To assist with the influx of traffic and minimize delays, we will implement several measures, including: - Two independent carlines to streamline vehicle flow. - A dedicated walker door at the elementary school. - Two remote walker lots to reduce congestion at the school entrance. - Multiple ARS Staff members on the street directing traffic. Our goal is to minimize our impact on downtown traffic while also encouraging our parents to support our local businesses. You will also see an influx of traffic on TOMORROW EVENING, Monday, August 10th from 5-6:30. A percentage of sales from ARS families will go directly to the school. To assist with parking logistics during school hours and ARS events, we will be disseminating maps detailing where families can and cannot park. However, we recognize that not everyone will adhere to these guidelines. Therefore, we appreciate your understanding if you decide to post no ARS parking areas you will have our full support. We will warn our families of the possibility of being towed should they park in private lots. As our parents become familiar with our carline procedures, we anticipate some initial delays. We appreciate your patience as we work through this process together. Within a week or two, we expect significant improvements as everyone adjusts to the new system.
