Championing Excellence: Unveiling Success at the Greater Statesville Chamber's Annual Celebration

RECAP: SAGE (Statesville Area Growth and Excellence) Awards and Annual Meeting, was held on February 15, 2024, will be graciously hosted by the Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce and generously sponsored by Denso. This prestigious event, promises an evening of celebration and recognition for outstanding contributions to the community.

Attendees can look forward to a vibrant pre-meeting mingle featuring an array of beer and wine, fostering a convivial networking atmosphere.

Nominees, the esteemed guests of the evening, will be treated to an exclusive VIP room experience preceding the main event.

The awards to be presented encompass a diverse range, highlighting the exceptional achievements across Statesville and surrounding area. Categories include Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year (both large and small enterprises), Ambassador of the Year, and Community Impact (nonprofit) of the Year. Notably, this year's ceremony introduces additional accolades, showcasing excellence in various facets of local business, such as Partners in Education Excellence, Innovator of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Launch Sage Award for new businesses, and Leader in Advocacy. This expansion reflects the Chamber's commitment to acknowledging and celebrating the multifaceted achievements that contribute to the growth and prosperity of the Statesville area.

Schools, workforce development among key issues addressed at annual banquet

Kamari Dalton and Brianna Hincapie stood on stage Thursday evening in a room packed with Statesville’s business leaders and confidently fielded questions about the path to success. Their answers — seeking a balanced and stable life and a career that provides both financial and personal fulfillment — were on point. But even more impressive was the fact the speakers, who are in the sixth and ninth grades, are already paving their own paths thanks to programs through the Boys & Girls Club of the Piedmont and the Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce.
