STATESVILLE — Iredell County Emergency Communications and the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office are pleased to announce the launch of RapidSOS 911 Live Video, a cutting-edge tool that will significantly enhance the County’s emergency response capabilities.

This innovative technology allows 911 callers to share real-time video footage with emergency dispatchers and responders. By offering a visual perspective of unfolding events, the system allows deputies and telecommunicators to assess situations more accurately and make better-informed decisions before arriving on scene.

Once a caller opts in, they receive a secure link enabling a live video stream from their device. This immediate visual access provides critical insight into the emergency, supporting more precise and timely interventions.

“This is a major step forward in how we serve and protect our community,” said Sheriff Darren Campbell. “Having access to live video before deputies arrive gives us the advantage of seeing the situation firsthand, which can ultimately save time and lives.”

“We are proud to implement this state-of-the-art solution to better serve the residents of Iredell County,” said Candy Miller, Emergency Communications Director. “Empowering our dispatchers and responders with live video means faster, safer, and more effective emergency responses.”

The adoption of this technology reflects Iredell County’s ongoing commitment to leveraging innovation in the name of public safety. The RapidSOS 911 Live Video system represents a transformative step in delivering the highest standard of emergency services to our community.
