Our mission is to empower women to be in control of their health and healthcare experiences, to encourage women that they are worthy to love themselves as well as they love those that surround them, and to do this through encouragement, not fear.
We serve women and children within a 2 hour radius
Founded in 2011 by Iredell County natives Nicole Winecoff, CNM, and Marcia James, CNM, Natural Beginnings Birth & Wellness Center was created in response to our community's need for safe, family-centered out-of-hospital birth options.
Over the years, we have grown to provide comprehensive healthcare for women, children, and families while remaining committed to our roots in midwifery care. In addition to our Certified Nurse Midwives, our Family and Pediatric Nurse Practitioners offer compassionate, evidence-based primary care for women and children, including preventive wellness visits, routine checkups, and the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions.
We continue to provide out-of-hospital birth services for low-risk women seeking a personalized, low-intervention birth experience. As an outpatient birth center, families enjoy a comfortable, short stay after delivery before returning home, with continued close follow-up from our Certified Nurse Midwives to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing support.
At Natural Beginnings, we are dedicated to caring for our patients through every stage of life with personalized, family-centered care in a welcoming environment. We are deeply grateful for the trust and support of our community. For more than 15 years, it has been our privilege to care for generations of families, and we look forward to continuing to serve Iredell County for many years to come.
