Iredell Health System offering walk-in mammograms in Mooresville

Getting a potentially life-saving mammogram doesn’t have to be so daunting thanks to Iredell Imaging at Mooresville.

Scheduling and keeping a mammogram appointment can be difficult for women who are busy. Iredell Imaging at Mooresville is now offering Mammo Mondays. Same-day and walk-in appointments will be available every Monday.

• Financial assistance is available through the Iredell Health Foundation

Eligibility

• Screening mammograms only
• Women 40 and above
• Patients seen on a first-come, first-served basis
• No referral needed

When

• Every Monday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Last walk-in accepted at 4 p.m.)
• Regular appointments available Monday through Friday

Iredell Imaging at Mooresville has 3D-mammography capabilities with the Senographe Pristina Mammography System. This new 3D-mammography unit is designed to deliver superior accuracy in breast cancer detection while making patients feel more comfortable and less anxious. It can reduce the need for follow-up imaging, detect slightly more cancers than a
standard mammogram alone, and improve breast cancer detection in dense breast tissue.
