Iredell EDC Announces New Director of Economic Development

Experienced Economic Development Professional Joins Iredell EDC

Iredell, NC – October 16, 2023 - Iredell County Economic Development Corporation (Iredell EDC) is pleased to announce and welcome Craig Goodson as Director, Economic Development. In this role, Goodson will be responsible for new business development efforts, including business recruitment and expansion, and new product development across Iredell County. Goodson comes to Iredell EDC from Davidson County EDC where he was the President/CEO. Prior to that he served as the Business Development Manager for Lincoln EDA. Mr. Goodson also has a tremendous level of experience in business development in the construction industry gleaned from respected companies such as Messer Construction Co., Edifice Inc., and John S. Clark Company. He began his career in banking as an Assistant Vice President with Wachovia Bank. Mr. Goodson is a graduate of the University of North Carolina Charlotte with a degree in Economics. He also graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Banking. Skilled in relationship building, Goodson will be a key liaison between businesses moving into or expanding in Iredell County and the resources they need to make a successful transition and attain their growth and expansion goals. “I am excited to be a part of Iredell EDC,” Goodson shares. “Over my career, I have forged many relationships throughout the county which gives this move the feel of coming home. Iredell County offers a wide array of product to suit any size manufacturer or logistics company interested in locating or growing here.
