My Sister’s House Domestic Violence Support Group

Last Updated 10/14/2022Posted in News

My Sister’s House is a safe place for women and children fleeing domestic, sexual violence and/or human trafficking. Counselors and advocates work directly with individuals, providing hospital and court advocacy, peer support and case management services.

By way of introduction, my name is Jenya Comfort and I am a graduate student in the Counseling Program at UNCC. I am also a counseling intern at Fifth Street Ministries / My sister's house here in Statesville.

As part of our counseling services, we are starting a new support group for the domestic violence survivors  in our Mooresville office. I wanted to share the group's flyer with you to see if it can be further disseminated to any of your community  partners who might be interested in posting it.

For safety reasons, the details about the group will be provided to the callers when they contact our crisis hotline (the phone number listed on the flyer).

Thank you for your consideration and please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need anything else.
