More Than 60 Dogs Make a Splash at the 2026 Dog Day at the Pool

The Statesville Leisure Pool went to the dogs on Saturday, September 19, 2026, as more than 60 pups joined us for the 2026 Dog Day at the Pool!

Dogs of all sizes took over the pool for an afternoon filled with swimming, splashing, wagging tails, and plenty of four-legged fun. From confident swimmers diving right into cautious pups testing the water one paw at a time, each guest found their own way to enjoy this end-of-summer tradition.

Thank you to everyone who brought their canine companions to spend the day with Statesville Recreation & Economic Vitality. We loved seeing so many dogs and their people enjoying the pool together!
