Fall Art Crawl

Visitors can stroll through downtown or hop aboard the FREE trolley this Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 2p-6p, as area artists transform local businesses throughout Downtown Statesville into galleries, showcasing one-of-a-kind creations during the Fall Art Crawl.

Enjoy art, live music, and shopper specials at select downtown businesses, and be part of the unveiling of Statesville’s newest public sculpture at the Housing Authority Campus.

Winter Youth League Registration Closes Oct 1st

Looking for a great way to keep your child active this winter? Registration is open for Youth Basketball and Youth Wrestling!

These programs give young athletes the chance to learn the game, strengthen their skills, be part of a team, and enjoy a season full of movement and competition.

Two Departments. One Important Message.

When rechargeable batteries are thrown in household trash, they can be crushed inside a garbage truck, spark and start a fire. That puts sanitation workers, firefighters and our community at risk. Fire Marshal Pete Morrison and Sanitation Superintendent Russell Brown are asking residents to keep rechargeable batteries out of the trash and recycle them safely.

Bring your unwanted rechargeable batteries to any Statesville Fire Department location. If it charges, don’t trash it. Recycle it. Learn more about the “Fill the Drum” Battery Recycling Challenge here.

Year-Round Collection: Rechargeable batteries are accepted Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Fire Station 1, located at 822 Fifth Street.

Jovin Webb brings a powerful blend of Louisiana soul, gravelly vocals, and blues‑driven emotion to the Levitt AMP Statesville Levee stage.

5:55 p.m. - The SHA CAST Campus will host the dedication of a sculpture created by artist John Ross to mark the result of years of vision and collaboration, celebrating the role of art in shaping Statesville’s identity.

🔹Facility Supervisor- Cochran Street Recreation Center (Full-Time): This position is responsible for supervising the operations, activities, programs, and staff at the Cochran Street Recreation Center division of the Recreation & Economic Vitality Department.

🔹Police Telecommunicator - Night Shift 6PM - 6AM (Full-Time): This position is for receiving and prioritizing 911 and non-emergency telephone calls from the public, dispatching appropriate public safety officials, and maintaining open lines of communication with public safety during emergency situations.
