Temporary Lane Closure on Carolina Avenue for Waterline Work – August 20, 2026

Road Work – Carolina Avenue

As part of the City of Statesville’s Waterline Project, contractors will complete the final waterline tie-in on Carolina Avenue near the DMV office on Thursday, August 20, from approximately 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Carolina Avenue will remain open to traffic; however, one lane will be closed in the work area. Flaggers will be in place to direct traffic and help keep vehicles moving through the area.

Motorists should use caution, allow extra time when traveling through the area, and follow the directions of traffic control personnel.

The schedule is subject to change based on construction conditions. Updates will be provided as needed.
