CITY OF STATESVILLE LEGAL NOTICE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING(S) TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND PARTICULARLY THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF STATESVILLE:
The City Council of the City of Statesville will hold and conduct public hearings in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 227 South Center Street, Statesville, North Carolina, on August 10, 2026 at 6:00pm for the following purposes:
| Telecommunications & Data Center Moratorium | |
| Description | Consider a 150 day telecommunications and data center moratorium (September 14, 2026 to February 11, 2027). The moratorium will provide the City time to analyze and study the unique development, infrastructure and environmental impacts of data centers and to consider appropriate regulatory and policy changes to address those impacts.
