Road Closure: South Meeting Street – October 19, 2026

The Water Sewer Maintenance Division will close South Meeting Street to through traffic from East Broad Street to Court Street beginning Monday, October 19, 2026, at 7 p.m. while crews repair a waterline.

The closure is expected to remain in place overnight, with the road tentatively scheduled to reopen by 7 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.

The closure is necessary to provide a safe working environment for Public Utilities crews and allow adequate space for heavy equipment to operate.

Motorists should follow posted detour signs, use caution in the area, and allow extra travel time.

Residents and businesses that will experience a temporary water service interruption during the repair will be notified through door hangers.
