🚧 ROAD CLOSURE | Fayetteville Avenue & Old Charlotte Road

Beginning Monday, October 5, 2026, the City of Statesville will close portions of Fayetteville Avenue and Old Charlotte Road as part of the ongoing waterline project.

Road closures include:

• Fayetteville Avenue from Shelton Avenue to 3rd Street
• Old Charlotte Road from Shelton Avenue to Power Street

The closure is expected to remain in place through Friday, October 9. Crews originally planned to use flaggers to maintain traffic through the area while the waterline was installed. However, due to existing utilities and the complexity of the work at the intersection, the area will be fully closed to traffic for the safety of crews working in the roadway. Motorists should avoid the area and use alternate routes. Please use caution when traveling near the work zone and follow all posted detour signs.
