Education and Workforce Development Committee Invites You
The Education and Workforce Development Committee works to facilitate innovative partnerships among business, educators, students, and stakeholders to deliver a world-class personnel talent.
In 2025, the committee achieved significant progress in advancing STEM education and strengthening connections between education and industry. Key accomplishments include:
- Hosted a well-attended community forum at Mitchell Community College in Mooresville, filling the auditorium with business and education leaders to discuss collaborative STEM initiatives.
- Built strong partnerships with local educational institutions and employers to support workforce readiness and career pathways.
- Raised more than $30,000 to fund a mobile STEM trailer for Iredell-Statesville Schools, bringing hands-on STEM learning directly to students throughout Iredell County.
Education and workforce development are essential to helping employers build a stronger talent pipeline, reduce hiring and training costs, and better aligning education with real-world workforce needs.
