The Leadership Statesville Program

Leadership Statesville is the Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce’s signature nine-month initiative that exists to cultivate and connect the leadership community in Statesville and Iredell County in several ways. The program provides hands on leader development, education and local connections in order to optimize participant impact in their businesses, non-profits and the community at large. Leadership Statesville enhances the participants growth by connecting to state and regional leadership resources and providing alumni avenues to use individual strengths and talents to benefit our local area.

Approximately 15-20 leaders are chosen each year to represent a broad cross-section of the Greater Statesville area. Through full-day retreats, seminars, discussion groups, community tours, and a service project, participants get to explore community issues, examine themselves as leaders and build meaningful and trusting relationships with peers in our community. Training business and professional people to assume community leadership roles is one way to ensure a continuing pipeline of leadership talent. Since 1988, hundreds of local community leaders have participated in Leadership Statesville.
