Local and state officials to visit Iredell County Emergency Communications during Telecommunicators Week – Media Invited
STATESVILLE, NC — In recognition of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (April 14–20), local and state leaders will visit the Iredell County Emergency Communications center (ECOM) on Thursday, April 17, between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., to thank staff for their critical role in public safety.
Representative Todd Carver, Representative Jeff McNeely, and Senator Vickie Sawyer are scheduled to stop by during this time. While exact arrival times may vary, Rep. Carver is expected around 2:00 p.m., and Sen. Sawyer and Rep. McNeely are anticipated to arrive between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m.
The officials will tour the facility and personally express their appreciation to the dedicated professionals who serve as the vital link between emergency callers and first responders.
Media coverage is welcomed and encouraged. This visit offers a unique opportunity to highlight the often behind-the-scenes work of telecommunicators and the support they receive from elected leaders during this national week of recognition.
