WSIC is proud to announce the grand opening of the new Purple Heart Homes Studio, a cutting-edge broadcasting space built to honor the station’s 76-year history in Iredell County and to support the incredible work Purple Heart Homes does for veterans. This state-of-the-art facility is the first of its kind in the region and represents a significant milestone in the station’s continued commitment to serving the local community.

To celebrate the launch of the Purple Heart Homes Studio, WSIC is hosting Veteran’s Week from November 12-15, 2024, broadcasting live from this new space. During this special week of programming, WSIC’s show hosts will feature interviews with veterans, community leaders, and special guests.

WSIC’s partnership with Purple Heart Homes reflects both organizations' deep-rooted dedication to supporting veterans and the greater Iredell County community.

"This partnership with Purple Heart Homes is more than just a new studio; it's a shared commitment to honoring and supporting our veterans in every way we can," said Justin Ckezepis, Owner of WSIC. "We’re thrilled to launch this innovative space and to have the opportunity to amplify the voices of veterans in our community through the work of Purple Heart Homes."

Purple Heart Homes, founded by two combat-wounded veterans, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing housing solutions for service-connected disabled and aging veterans. The launch of this studio represents their ongoing mission to make a meaningful impact on veterans' lives.

“We are honored to partner with WSIC to amplify our mission of serving veterans through this versatile new studio,” said John Gallina, CoFounder & CEO of Purple Heart Homes. "This space allows us to showcase our vital work and impact, while also highlighting the voices and stories of the veterans we’re proud to serve. Together, we are making a lasting difference in the community."

Tune in to WSIC from November 12-15, 2024, to celebrate Veteran’s Week and experience live broadcasts from the new Purple Heart Homes Studio. Stay tuned for a week filled with inspiring stories, impactful conversations, and a renewed commitment to the heroes among us.
