Shop Small – Small Business Saturday: A movement

Last Updated 12/16/2021Posted in General Blog, News

What begin as a marketing idea by American Express in 2010 has now become one of the biggest shopping days during the holidays.  Tucked between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Small Business Saturday celebrates our local, homegrown, independent business owners.

Communities, organizations, and businesses can sign up to become a neighborhood champion and create unique marketing strategies to “shop small”.  A box with lots of goodies and digital content arrive to help with the local promotions. With our current shortage of supplies, shopping our local retailers is a perfect way to find unique gifts ideas while supporting your neighbor.  Look for the shop small icon and know you are helping your local community.
