The Morningside Alumni Association Dancing Fundraiser

The Morningside Alumni Association is geared up and ready to raise funds for our scholarship program. In 2024, we awarded five amazing young students $1,000.00 each to help with college expenses. The Morningside Alumni Association scholarship program began in 2003. Since then, we have awarded $67,000.00 to 77 outstanding students. We are only able to do this with your help and our various fundraisers.

Our first fundraiser this year is a little different. Have you ever wanted to get out on the dance floor and do some of those dances that you may have seen on TV or admired someone who just knows how to do all the dances? Dances like the Electric Slide, the Cupid Shuffle, Swing Dance or even Ballroom Dancing. Now is your chance to learn them all and help the Morningside Alumni Association Scholarship Program.

For four consecutive Saturdays, beginning March 15th through April 5th, dance classes will be offered at the Statesville Fitness and Activity Center in Statesville, NC from 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. by professional choreographers, "The Purple Charlotte Steppers Club". You may pay by the week or get a discount if you pay for all four weeks. All proceeds benefit the Scholarship Program.

Prices for this fundraiser are:4 weeks:Couples $90.00; Individuals $45.00Each week:Couples $30.00, Individuals $15.00
