Join us for the 2026 Special Olympics Iredell County Polar Plunge on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at the City of Statesville Leisure Pool!!

10:45a: Costume Contest

11am: PeeWee Plunge

11:15a: Plunge

12:00p: Plunge

**To Plunge, you only need to raid $75! That's it!

Enjoy music, prizes and awards prior to the Polar Plunge start!

What to Wear:

Bathing suit, clothes, costumes, etc. - Nothing with rivets, metal buckles or anything that could damage the water slide. Don't forget to bring a towel and a change of clothes! Locker rooms will be available for changing.

Individual Plunge Participant: $75

Polar Plunge Team (5 People): $375

We encourage you to help raise as much money as possible for Special Olympics Iredell County. Special Olympics athletes are never charged to compete, and we need your help to continue to make this possible! Encourage your friends, family, and co-workers to participate as plungers, fundraisers for the cause, or just have them come to the event to cheer you on!

Why Plunge?

If you are a person with intellectual disabilities, you encounter adversities daily. You must have courage to try something that doesn’t come easily to you. Our athletes bravely face challenges on the field, in the pool and on the court. They are the inspiration for this event. The funds raised will provide year-round sports training, competition, leadership opportunities, and health services to Special Olympics athletes in our community.
