Veteran Story: James Hodge
Purple Heart Homes (PHH) proudly completed a project for U.S. Army Veteran James Hodge in Boomer, North Carolina, as part of the Veterans Aging in Place (VAIP) Program.
James was in need of a new roof to ensure the safety and comfort of his home. Thanks to the funding from our partner Lowe's and the skilled work of Joe Campbell Roofing, we were able to provide the improvements James needed.
A Life of Service
Born in 1943, James served in the U.S. Army from June 23, 1966, to June 21, 1968 , during the Vietnam War era. He was honorably discharged at the rank of PVT E-1 (P) and is a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and the Expert Badge (Rifle M-14).
We are honored to serve James, just as he once served our country, and ensure his home remains safe, secure, and functional for years to come.
