Zachary Johnson awarded Katherine Baich Endowed Scholarship

Purple Heart Homes has awarded the 2024 Katherine Baich Endowed Scholarship to Zachary Johnson of Spencer, NC. The $2,500 scholarship supports children or grandchildren of veterans with service-connected disabilities. Johnson, 18, graduated early from high school and completed two years of college before enrolling this fall at UNC Charlotte to pursue a pre-med degree in mathematics. He credits his mother, Army veteran Lisa Michelle Vines, as his inspiration.
