Fifth Street Ministries Breaks Ground on New Tiny Homes Project

Fifth Street Ministries in Statesville has begun construction on four new tiny homes designed to provide safe housing for homeless veterans. These homes, donated by Purple Heart Homes, highlight the expanding partnership between the two organizations. Todd Ellis Builders is managing the site work, supported by Ram Pavement.

Since 2016, Fifth Street Ministries has assisted numerous veterans in transitioning from homelessness to stability through case management and other support services. Executive Director Michele Knapp praised the community’s vital role in making projects like this possible, while City Councilwoman Doris Allison described the initiative as an important step toward helping everyone feel a sense of belonging.
