Fifth Street Ministries in Statesville has officially dedicated a new set of tiny homes designed to help veterans on their journey to self-sufficiency. This project, made possible through a collaboration with the Piedmont Veterans Assistance Council and Purple Heart Homes, aims to support veterans facing homelessness by offering safe, stable housing alongside transitional services. Purple Heart Homes co-founder John Gallina emphasized the homes as a place of healing and hope. Veterans will receive a year of subsidized housing as part of a program that includes support to prepare them for independent living. The emotional dedication ceremony drew community leaders, including local officials and longtime volunteers, highlighting the strong spirit of support for veterans in Statesville.
