After months of struggling with a leaky roof, Navy veteran Dennis Payne and his wife Elaine finally found relief thanks to the Northeast Ohio chapter of Purple Heart Homes. On a rainy October morning, volunteers replaced the roof of the Paynes’ ranch home in North Ridgeville, ending a stressful and costly problem. This simple act of service carries deep meaning for those who have already given so much.
