On Pearl Harbor Day, the Pensacola community came together to honor Army veteran Jimmie Perkins with a special celebration marking important repairs to his home. Purple Heart Homes led the project with support from local businesses and students from the Dixon School of Arts & Sciences. The event was a powerful blend of remembrance and gratitude, as Perkins expressed heartfelt thanks for the community’s support that made his home safer and more comfortable.
