Jodi John EP Release Show
w/ Asheville Songwriters Showcase
An Evening of Original Music at the Old Jail
Former Iredell Arts Council Director Jodi John is returning to the "Old Jail" to showcase her first published EP, Sybelia. Now based in Asheville, NC, Jodi leads the Asheville Songwriters Association, which is dedicated to nurturing the art and craft of songwriting in Western North Carolina and beyond.
Jodi’s songwriting style reflects a narrative lyricism layered over strong melodies. With a catalog of over 250 original songs, she writes regularly and participates in songwriting workshops and events throughout the region. She believes that stories—whether told or heard—are essential to understanding ourselves and others.

Joining her are two talented Asheville-based songwriters:
🎸 Evan Veasey – A songwriter and guitarist who plays with the conventions of 20th-century Folk and American music to illuminate the corners of the human spirit. Evan uses songwriting as a mirror—an introspective journey that also offers listeners a reflection of their own experiences.
