Road Closure - Water Main break at 900 block of Wilmington Ave

Repairs to the water main break in the 900 block of Wilmington Avenue are now complete and the road is back open to traffic. Some residents in the area may notice temporary brown or discolored water as the system returns to normal. Our crews are actively flushing the lines, and this should clear up soon. If you experience discoloration, run cold water from a bathtub or outdoor spigot for about five minutes, or until the water runs clear. Thank you for your patience while our teams worked to complete the repair safely and quickly.

The City of Statesville Water Department is responding to a water main break in the 900 block of Wilmington Avenue. Crews are onsite and actively making repairs. Wilmington Avenue is closed from 7th Street to 10th Street, and repairs are expected to take approximately 4–6 hours. Customers in the area may experience temporary water service interruptions or low water pressure during this time. Please use alternate routes and avoid the area so crews can work safely and efficiently. We appreciate your patience while repairs are underway.
