🎙️ Front & Center: Navigating Statesville's Annual Leaf Collection - Tips from the Team
The familiar crunch of autumn leaves means the Statesville Leaf Collection crew is rolling into action! From October 20 through February 13, 2026, this essential city service transforms neighborhoods across Statesville, methodically clearing the seasonal debris that accompanies our beautiful fall foliage.
Sanitation Superintendent, Russell Brown, and Assistant Superintendent, Kandense Adams, join us to reveal the inner workings of this massive undertaking. They break down the city's five collection areas and explain why some sections take longer than others. Understanding your collection area is crucial, especially since opposite sides of the same street might fall into different zones!

Statesville Police Recruit Program
The Statesville Police Department is actively seeking the next generation of officers through its Police Recruit Program. This unique opportunity allows qualified candidates to be hired by SPD while attending Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET), providing both financial and career support along the way.

New Parking Ticket System - Effective October 1, 2025
The City of Statesville is upgrading its parking enforcement and permitting systems to better serve residents, businesses, and visitors.

Energy Efficiency Day
Energy Efficiency Day is Wednesday, October 1, 2025 - a great reminder that saving energy isn’t just good for the environment, it’s good for your wallet, too! By making simple changes in the way we use energy at home and at work, we can lower costs, reduce demand, and help create a cleaner, more sustainable future for Statesville.

Voter Registration Deadline October 10, 2025
Friday, October 10, 2025 is the voter registration deadline for the November 4, 2025 Municipal Elections. Voters must live inside the city limits of the municipalities in order to be eligible to vote.

🔹Key Accounts & Economic Development Manager (Full-Time): This position is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and implementing growth strategies, building and maintaining key customer relationships, and promoting energy-efficient solutions for Statesville Public Power (SPP) customers. Also responsible for coordinating electric infrastructure projects, managing right-of-way activities, supporting economic development initiatives, and monitoring internal electric rates to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
