National Aviation Week (August 19–25, 2025)

✈️ Soaring Skies & Community Connections - National Aviation Week

August 19–25, 2025 is National Aviation Week - a time to celebrate the thrill of flight and the places that make it possible. For nearly 81 years, Statesville Regional Airport (KSVH) has been a hub of aviation excellence, connecting our community to the skies and the world beyond.

From its opening in 1940 to serving Fortune 500 companies, NASCAR teams, and local pilots today, KSVH continues to be an economic engine for our region - generating $146 million in economic impact and supporting 730 local jobs.

Whether it’s corporate jets, colorful hot air balloons at Carolina BalloonFest, or the everyday flights that keep our community moving, the airport is more than runways and hangars - it’s a symbol of innovation, connection, and the freedom to soar. Read more here.
