Park & Recreation Professionals Day (July 18, 2025)

On Parks and Recreation Professionals Day, we’re celebrating the amazing team behind Statesville Recreation & Parks Department - the passionate professionals who work every day to make our community healthier, happier, and more connected. From maintaining parks to planning programs and events, their impact is felt in every corner of our city.

This year marks 40 Years of Growing Strong Together, and we’re proud to join the national celebration of Parks and Recreation Month right here in Statesville!

Citywide School Supply Drive: End of Summer Bash

There are just a few days left to help students start the 2025–2026 school year with confidence!

Through July 18, residents can drop off donations at convenient locations across the city to support the End of Summer Bash, taking place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Harris Park. 

This is the City’s first coordinated drive of this kind and aims to provide fully stocked backpacks for local children in need, helping ease the financial burden on families and ensuring every student has the tools they need to succeed. Learn more here.

🔹 Administrative Associate - Public Utilities (Full-Time): This position is responsible for performing skilled administrative and clerical work for the Public Utilities Department.

🔹Event Services Technician - Civic Center (Part-Time): This position supports events and operations at the Civic Center by maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized facility. Responsibilities include setting up event spaces, assisting customers at the front desk, supporting event logistics, and providing basic A/V and custodial services. This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service skills who is comfortable with hands-on work and adaptable to a flexible schedule.
