Notes & Achievements:

  • The City Council unanimously approved moving forward with the temporary Station 5 project. The City Technical Review Committee also approved the plans for the temporary Station. The bidding process for renovations of the property are currently being conducted. 
  • Three Firefighters, Coover, Estero, and Nicholson, completed Recruit Training and were assigned duties on B Shift: Engine 2, A Shift: Engine 3, and B Shift: Engine 3.
  • The Hiring Committee worked diligently to extend offers to 18 new hires for 2026 in preparation for Station 5.
