Training in Action: Statesville Fire Department Partners with DENSO for Live Fire Safety Exercises

Last week, the Statesville Fire Department’s Fire Marshal’s Office (FMO) teamed up with DENSO Manufacturing North Carolina to deliver hands-on fire extinguisher and live fire training to employees.

The training began with a short classroom session focused on fire safety fundamentals, types of fire extinguishers, and proper use techniques.

Following the 15-minute overview, employees rotated through live-fire exercises led by members of the Statesville Fire Department FMO and the Iredell County FMO over a three-day period.

Each participant had the opportunity to put their knowledge into action - extinguishing controlled fires under the guidance of fire safety professionals. The hands-on experience helped build confidence and reinforced important safety practices that apply both in the workplace and at home.
