National Fire Responders Day

October 28, 2025 is National First Responders Day, a time to recognize the courageous men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our community. From Firefighters and Police Officers to Paramedics and emergency personnel, first responders are the ones we rely on during life’s most critical moments. The City of Statesville extends heartfelt appreciation to our Statesville Police Department, Statesville Fire Department, and all local and regional partners who serve with dedication and compassion. Their commitment to keeping Statesville safe, prepared, and resilient is a vital part of what makes our community strong. Let’s take a moment today to thank a first responder and show our gratitude for the work they do every single day.

Statesville Police Recruit Program

The Statesville Police Department is actively seeking the next generation of officers through its Police Recruit Program. This unique opportunity allows qualified candidates to be hired by SPD while attending Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET), providing both financial and career support along the way.

🔹Skilled Laborer - Water Maintenance (Full-Time): This position is responsible for semi-skilled work in a variety of construction, maintenance, and repair assignments involving the use of specialized tools and equipment within the city’s water/sewer department.
