Iredell Health System Welcomes Jonathan Garrett, PA-C

Iredell Health System is proud to welcome Jonathan Garrett, PA-C, to Iredell Orthopedic Center. With over 22 years of experience in orthopedics, including two years in spine surgery, Jonathan will be a vital asset to the health system and Iredell Physician Network team.

Jonathan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Delaware and completed his graduate degree as a Physician Assistant at Anne Arundel Community College in Maryland. He also holds an associate of applied science in Respiratory Therapy from Frederick Community College. His interest in healthcare started early.

“When I was in college, I tore my ACL, requiring surgery. This is where I ran into a Physician Assistant for the first time. It seemed to fit exactly what I wanted as a career, and it aligned with my studies. Six years later I was a PA,” said Jonathan.

Jonathan’s transition to Iredell Health System from another community healthcare setting is seamless.

“I have been working alongside the Iredell Health System team for almost 21 years now. Many employees have been patients of mine in another setting, so this was a great fit to come on board,” he said.

His approach to patient care is what Jonathan believes sets him apart from other providers.

“Conventional and functional approaches seem to define me. I feel I am easy to get to know and spend whatever time is necessary to explain the diagnosis and treatment plan,” said Jonathan. “My goal is to get patients back to their baseline so they can stay at their current level of activity.”
