Fifth Street Ministries’ upcoming Christmas in July

Fifth Street Ministries’ upcoming Christmas in July event will feature a drive-thru meal and an online auction.

Scheduled for Sunday, July 21, Christmas in July consists of a drive-thru meal that can be paid for and picked up at 1421 Fifth Street in Statesville between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. The meal will include pork BBQ, pesto chicken, potato salad, broccoli coleslaw, rolls, homemade desserts, and water. The cost for the meal is $15.

The online auction will begin at 6 p.m. on July 12 and end at 6 p.m. on July 23. A variety of items have been donated for the auction, including a two-night stay at Asheville River Cabins, gift baskets, autographed items from Penske Racing, household décor, Whitewater Center passes, and more. Christmas in July is Fifth Street Ministries’ largest fundraiser of the year and is designed to help the nonprofit get through the lean summer months when they typically receive less in the way of financial contributions and material donations.

Fifth Street Ministries’ staff and board hope you will consider supporting the nonprofit’s mission by sponsoring the event, by donating a product/service for the silent auction, by bidding on auction items, or by purchasing a meal.
