Pancake Day is Thursday, April 18th

As a dedicated supporter of the Boys & Girls Club and our 527 Club members, we are excited to invite you to participate in the 2^nd Annual Randy Marion Pancake Day – Iredell's Happiest Day. Our event is scheduled for Thursday, April 18, 2024, at the Statesville Civic Center. 

Last year we were overwhelmed by your support – 67 sponsors, 1,972 guests served and more than 260 volunteers at the event.  This is a fun way to bring our entire community together to collectively show support for the kids in our community that need our help most.  

EVENT DETAILS 

Pancake Day is Thursday, April 18^th from 6:00 AM until 7:00 PM. Our event will be held at the Statesville Civic Center, located at 300 S. Center Street in historic downtown Statesville. Funds raised on Pancake Day stay in our community, helping our kids.  Your support makes it possible to provide quality after-school and summer camp experiences for more than 500 local children. 

HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR LOCAL CHILDREN 

There are three (3) ways you may choose to get involved and support local kids: 

• Become a sponsor.  Sponsorships range from $100 (Flapjack Friends) to $5,000 (Presenting Sponsors).  Your investment will be prominently recognized throughout the event, providing valuable exposure in the community, and showcasing your commitment to making a positive difference in our community.  
• Volunteer. We need 52 volunteers to operate each of our five (5) shifts (that’s 260 volunteers). Jobs include serving as a “Gourmet Chef” (operating one of our six (6) grills), making pancake batter, cooking sausage, making coffee, serving drinks, seating hostess, clearing tables, ticket sales, and more. There is a job for everyone. Those wishing to serve as a Gourmet Chef should contact me directly. All other volunteers may use the Sign-Up Genius on our website www.piedmontbgc.org

• Purchase Tickets.  Tickets are $10 (all you can eat).  Our goal is to serve 2,500 guests this year. Bring your Sunday class, civic club, work team, neighbors – we can arrange group seating upon request. Pancake Day is fun. It’s a day to celebrate our spirit of community for a great cause. Pancake Day is good food, great fellowship, silent auction, raffle items, split-the-pot, and more.
