Iredell Urgent Care – Statesville Now Open

As of June 20, Iredell Health System has officially opened the doors to its new urgent care, Iredell Urgent Care – Statesville.

Iredell Urgent Care – Statesville, located at 1540 E. Broad Street, is the only urgent care in Statesville east of I-77. It is also the only urgent care facility in the area open past 8 p.m, providing care to patients daily, including holidays and weekends, from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Iredell Urgent Care – Statesville offers a wide array of services for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. The facility is staffed by trained emergency medicine providers from Wake Forest Baptist Health, and utilizes a shared, privacy-protected electronic health record system with Iredell Health System and the Iredell Physician Network.

The new urgent care includes 14 exam rooms, a procedure room, and onsite x-ray and lab services for urgent care patients. While the clinic is primarily a walk-in facility, online appointment scheduling will also be available later this summer.

Iredell Urgent Care – Statesville is a result of the nonprofit health system’s commitment to providing healthcare services based on the needs of the community it serves.

“When Davis Regional Medical Center closed its acute care services, it really changed our vision. We had to look at not just taking care of the folks we were already taking care of, but also recognizing there was a lot more need. We knew we had to offload some of the volume in the emergency room,” said Iredell Health System President & CEO John Green during the new facility’s ribbon cutting held Friday. “Thankfully, with the help of G.L. Wilson, we found this location. With their vision and our team’s hard work, we have created a fantastic option.”

“Like Mr. Green said, we recognized the need to have an urgent care here. We noted that most urgent cares in the area close by 8 p.m. and that to serve the community effectively, we needed to be open later. We’re very proud of that and are excited to be here,” said Damon Hays, Vice President of the Iredell Physician Network.
