Bring the whole family downtown for the Holiday Shop & Stroll where we bring the feeling of an old-fashioned, small town Christmas season to the streets of Downtown, while adding a dash of excitement and a sprinkle of magic! Enjoy a fun evening of merchant open houses, take a festive trolley ride, stroll the sidewalks, and enjoy the sparkle of holiday lights.

All aboard the Holly Jolly Trolley sponsored by Griffin Insurance! Downtown Statesville Development Corporation is excited to once again offer the 2025 Holiday Shop and Stroll! Immerse yourself in the spirit of the holidays on an old-fashioned festive trolley ride through Downtown Statesville. Be entertained with magical holiday fun as you and your family see the beautifully decorated streets of Downtown Statesville aboard the festive Holly Jolly Trolley!

On December 5th, the Griffin Insurance (Leavitt Group) sponsored trolley will embark from The Holly Jolly Depot located on Court Street beside the Christmas tree every 20 minutes. Come together for a photo opportunity by the tree posing with our delightfully decorated holiday frame sponsored by CardMy*Yard! Trolley Stops are scheduled for The Historic Sharpe House where you can tour the beautifully decorated house and grounds, Santa Center at City Hall sponsored by the City of Statesville, First ARP Church Live Nativity, Little Blue Choo rides sponsored by Ripple Fiber and S'mores Station sponsored by downtown Statesville Fire Department. The brilliant theater troupe from Center Stage Alliance have planned special holiday entertainment for trolley passengers to enjoy with the best view of holiday-decked storefronts and homes throughout Downtown Statesville's streets . Each ride promises to be full of music, laughter and holiday cheer!

Trolley rides are free and will be offered from 6-8:30 pm during Downtown Statesville's Holiday Shop & Stroll. You can hop on or off the trolley at any of the scheduled stops throughout the event. Seats are limited and are on a first come, first served basis.
