Things to do

Whether you enjoy the hustle and bustle of packed festivals and fairs or the quiet reflection of nature walks or a jog through town, Statesville has an option for every desire.

Education

We have a number of excellent educational opportunities in the area – an excellent public school system, charter schools and private schools.  Additionally, Iredell County is home to one of the state’s extraordinary community colleges – Mitchell Community College.  We also have a very active satellite campus of Gardner Webb University.  We believe that outstanding education is the cornerstone to long term economic success.  The Chamber is involved in a variety of ways with the local schools – ranging from our Youth Leadership Iredell program sponsored by Elmer’s Corporation to our proactive support and expansion of The LeaderinMe education framework in four local schools. http://www.theleaderinme.org/
