The 20th Annual Spellin' Bee is coming up on September 16th at the Statesville Civic Center. It will start with Business After Hours sponsored this year by the Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce. The Spellin' Bee will begin at 6:00 pm. Proceeds from the Bee are used to support workforce development in Iredell County.  Each GED graduate of Mitchell Community College is awarded a scholarship for one free curriculum or occupational extension class.  This opportunity provides a lot of Mitchell's GED graduates the means and encouragement they need to take the next big step in moving forward along their career pathway.

BUSINESS AFTER HOURS is one of the Chamber's most popular programs and is hosted each month by a Chamber member business.  It is designed for members to meet and build relationships with other Chamber businesses along with providing the ultimate opportunity tonetwork. These networking evenings take place between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. usually on the third Thursday of the month.

Remember to bring business cards to distribute to business contacts, prospective clients, and to enter the door prize drawings.
