Statesville, NC – November 7, 2019 – ElderCenter is hosting a Craft Show Saturday, November 16th, from 9 AM until 3 PM at 502 Brevard Street in Statesville. The event is free and open to the public. By bringing community together to kick off the upcoming holidays, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Attending the show include crafters and artists who make home-made soaps, natural beauty products, aromatherapy, hand-painted t-shirts, Christmas decorations, ornaments, wreaths, jewelry, hand carved canes, original design plaques and paintings, laser cut wood, stained glass, cards, crochet, candles, home-made baked goods and other exciting items perfect for someone on your shopping list. There will be a raffle for a large Christmas wreath, wine basket, and other items at $1/ticket or 6 for $5, winner need not be present. There are a few remaining spots available for crafters, please contact Tammie Money for details.
Come hungry as they will be serving their signature potato soup with rolls as well as hot cocoa and other snacks. Take some home for dinner or enjoy a cup of soup while you shop.
Our clients, staff and board members are also contributing their artistic talents to crafting holiday décor, ornaments, light up wine bottles, to name a few projects they are working on. The proceeds of ElderCenter crafts will go directly to services for our members and a portion will go towards our building fund to become a Day Health Center.
The only adult day facility in Statesville affordably helps families care for an aging family member who needs companionship or supervision during the day. “I encourage families with aging loved ones to consider a day facility sooner, while your loved one can get used to the caring staff and make friends. With ElderCenter, your loved one gets a home away from home, you get peace of mind,” reminds Joni Stone, a client and ElderCenter’s Marketing Ambassador. “I moved to Statesville because I knew without other family members near by, I’d need the folks at the center to help me care for Mom.”
Because of fundraisers like this Holiday Craft Show, ElderCenter day rates continue to be affordable at $45/ day. Financial assistance may be possible based on availability. Their mission is to help keep seniors in their own homes and with loved ones for as long as possible, reducing or eliminating the need for long term care in a facility.
