Training business and professional people to assume community leadership roles is one way to ensure a continuing reservoir of leadership talent for the future. For the past 30 years some of our most knowledgeable citizens and business people have helped develop community leaders through the Leadership Statesville program.
Leadership Statesville is looking for those who will lead the Statesville community through the transitions of growth that will be taking place in the near future. Each year, approximately 15-20 individuals come together and spend ten months learning about the challenges facing the greater Statesville area. These individuals begin the year as strangers and end the year having formed a life-long network of friends and colleagues. Most importantly, these individuals leave Leadership Statesville with a commitment to assume their responsibility as community leaders, not only serving their community, but becoming a resource to their company or agency as the organization seeks to make an effective community investment.
