School Registration - North Carolina law requires children entering school for the first time to show proof of immunization against polo, rubella, diphtheria, and whooping cough, as well as results of sight and hearing tests. Children entering the first grade must be six years of age on or before September 1 of that school year. Children entering second grade or higher should present the most recent report card or transcript for registration.
