NC Driver's License
North Carolina law requires residents to secure a valid driver's license within thirty days of establishing a residency. An examination is required and consists of a written and vision test, as well as a test of driving ability. Automobile Registration
Upon establishing permanent residence in North Carolina, individuals have thirty days in which to register a vehicle. Within ten days of securing registration, owners are required to have the vehicle inspected at a certified inspection center.
