The Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce wants you to see the value of this great community as we continue to offer more value by adding CLE training. The title of this CLE Activity is Ethical Issues in Debt Collection & Foreclosure:The Interplay Between the FDCPA and The Rules of Professional Conduct.  This 90-minute presentation explores the obligations and constraints placed on attorney communication under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, how the Rules of Professional Conduct should influence attorney conduct in the debt collection arena, and how specific debt collection activities might be viewed from an ethical standpoint.  The presenter, Graham Kidner, spent 21 years at Freddie Mac where he supervised the company?s network of foreclosure and bankruptcy counsel and managed loan-related litigation.  He has been in private practice since 2012, representing mortgage lenders and servicers, and manages compliance for the Hutchens Law Firm.We invite you to be a part of the training.
The annual CLE requirements in North Carolina are 12 hours of approved CLE credits. This class offers approval for 1.5 Credit Hours (ethics and professional responsibility) sought from the N.C. State Bar.  Your time is valuable and by offering these classes locally, we hope to save you time and money. The Chamber strives to help make our community a better place to live, work and play.
A light breakfast will be included.
